The upcoming Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council exhibit: ELEMENTAL couldn't be more relevant to the heart of artists everywhere...because there is nothing as elemental to the human soul as its expression through the Arts.
Opening on February 20th, this exhibit features painted works by Derek Cameron and a variety of artistic interpretations of the theme by Sussex County resident artists and SCAH members.
THE GALLERY on Spring Street has had its share of economic challenges due to the recent turmoil in the state budget. But through the outpouring of support from members, patrons and sponsors the current storm has been navigated allowing the Council to continue its mission:
To Foster and Support Art and Heritage in Sussex County through the support and development of Youth Programs, regranting opportunities and exhibits at THE GALLERY on Spring Street, Newton.

Part of the Transitions collection debuts at the ELEMENTAL exhibit.
"Selah" -a Hebrew term of various interpretation-evokes a pause for contemplation, an uplifting, a time to ponder.
Selah “ depicts life’s transformation in the predefined moments of transition-a time to ponder and weigh life’s choices and one’s destiny-to carry forward elements of life and hope from a soon unrecognizable past. This painting is available for purchase at THE GALLERY until March 27th.
