Sussex County Tree Growers are welcoming visitors who are in search of the perfect holiday tree for the 2009 season. While some are annual visitors, many first time visitors are delighting in the experience. "This is the first year we'll be cutting our own tree" said one Bergen County resident "Doing family things together has become more important to us this year-we're putting more emphasis on the preparations than the presents...Spending the day together looking for the perfect tree has been a lot of fun for the kids and us. It's a great way to start the season!"
There are several other good reasons for cutting your own tree this year. Christmas Trees are a crop-planted, managed and harvested by growers and producers-in the same way other crops are farmed for the consumer.
Real Christmas Trees are biodegradable-artificial trees are not.
Real Trees offer environmental benefits throughout their lifetime and beyond.
AND they SMELL GREAT!
Here's a partial list of Sussex County U CUT tree farms-many other farms offer U Choose (they've done the field work for you).
Tree growers will be happy to offer you tips on caring for your freshly harvested tree.
